Jason Gummer visits South Africa!

Jason Gummer had the privilege of being invited to visit Capita in South Africa at the beginning of 2019.

Jason has worked at Voice for 3 years and jumped at the chance of supporting Campaigns as they expanded in Cape Town. He spent 9 weeks in sunny South Africa doing what he does best, training!

Not only did this opportunity give Jason even more experience, but in turn he gave so many people opportunities to change their lifestyle, enabling them to escape poverty and poor living conditions.

“I stayed in a beautiful hotel with staff that looked after me so well, I felt like royalty and they always made sure I had a whiskey sour in hand! Although I was working all through the week, I did get chance at weekends to visit some awesome places! I visited Robben Island which is where the prison is located, which held Nelson Mandela whilst he was a political prisoner. I got to the top of Table Mountain that has some of the most breath taking views of South Africa. I also went to Penguin Beach, which was coincidentally full of penguins. As I was sunbathing, I was joined by penguins that are sunbathing too! I visited a couple of vineyards, as South Africa is well known for its wine. I couldn’t resist trying some of the best wines in the world! I got the opportunity to try many amazing restaurants, and ate some phenomenal food! This trip will be something I will always remember, be it the plane journeys in business class, to the fabulous people I met and the friendships I have made which will last a life time, the sights I have seen and visited and at last but not least, the feeling I now have of making such a difference to so many people’s lives. The job role:

To work in a busy call centre environment taking calls from customers
Taking a high volume of calls meeting challenging KPI’s
Be confident questioning your customer about their needs & matching the best package for them
Working between 38 and 40 hours per week.

Due to continued expansion we are currently recruiting for an experienced sales team leader to be based from our established office in the S10 area of Sheffield.

The ideal candidate should be extremely confident in managing a team of people and effectively engage, inspire and motivate the team to deliver and exceed sales targets. You will be expected to report performance to the operations manager on a day to day basis to ensure the business KPIs are being met.

The Role:

The purpose of the Team Leader role is to manage a team of outbound sales advisers that promote the full range of their services to prospective customers.

Identify training and coaching needs within the team through implementation & regular review of documented development plans. Ensuring the team are focused on delivering world class sales outputs and Identify gaps/barriers to service/sales and work proactively to tackle root causes both within the team and other business stakeholders
